There are a ton of cool little tricks you can help when planning a wedding or a company party. Here are 3 key tips that will help you plan your next event out.

  1. INCREASE THE VALUE OF THEIR SERVICE: In the current Covid days and beyond most vendors will be eager to work with you. Although many companies will immediately drop their rates, most experienced event planners will consider this a "red flag". If you're negotiating and the vendor won't budge, simply ask for what kind of upgrades can they offer. For example some Dj companies will offer uplighting for free if you buy a dance lighting package. Photo Booth companies have a few things they can offer as well, like Red Carpets, an additional photo template, etc.

  2. MAKE YOUR VENDOR BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE: Many vendors have worked with lots of other companies/vendors before and have a relationship. Asking your #PhotoBooth company if they know a photographer or a Dj will help you save time, possibly give you a discount and even the opportunity to bring some of the cost of an event down a bit. Most vendors will be grateful that their able to recommend a new client to a fellow vendor and you never know, a discount could be sitting and waiting for you by JUST considering using their recommended vendor.

  3. WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER: Most brides getting married have never planned a wedding before. For those that don't want to use a coordinator, simply ask the professionals that work these events every week on tips that have worked with other events similar to your event. Ask the Dj or band hired about what works best for an itinerary for a wedding. "Is it better to introduce the wedding party and go right into 1st dances then to dinner?"

  4. TRUST: If you think your vendor will up-sell you and recommend something that will benefit them more, than that vendor is probably not the one for you. Always cross reference your vendors with previous clients, check with the venue if they have worked with the vendor and check with the other vendors like the Dj, caterer, photographer, photo booth company if they've ever worked with the vendor you're considering.
